The historic town of Urquillos, a small community where a vibrant and proud local population maintains many customs throughout the year, is easily accessible by foot from our lodge. Views of the mountains and cornfields may be seen from the 50 rooms. They were decorated with warm accents and coated with wood, making them a special spot to unwind and take in the surroundings. Renowned Peruvian chef Virgilio Martínez, who owns the world’s top restaurant according to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 survey, created the culinary experience at Explora Sacred Valley of the Incas. The Andes with its variety of goods, ingredients, and customs provide inspiration for our cuisine. We hope that everyone of our visitors will have a profound connection to the land we call home and have a distinctive culinary experience in the Valley. On one side of the hotel’s corn terraces is our Spa Pumacahua Bath House, a seventeenth-century colonial home. Our restoration and archeological team saved it, and it now houses the hotel spa, where visitors can take use of treatments, a swimming pool, hot tubs, and saunas.
