SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS :<\/span><\/h2>\n

questbridge scholarship recipients are given acceptance to Quest Bridge\u2019s university partners and are awarded the possibility of a <\/span>full four-year scholarship valued at more than $200,000 per<\/span><\/strong>. Our college partners utilize the combination of their own money and federal and state aid to finance the award. This scholarship is part of the generous financial aid package offered through Quest Bridge, the Quest Bridge college partner, which includes the cost of attendance and includes:<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re looking for students in high schools who have demonstrated remarkable academic abilities despite financial hardships.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0We take a comprehensive approach to evaluating applications. We don\u2019t have strict guidelines or cut-offs for GPA, standardized tests, income, or other variables.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility questbridge scholarship<\/span><\/h2>\n

Class Year Eligibility<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To be eligible for The National College Match in the fall of 2021, the applicants must complete high school before or at the end of the 2022 summer and expect to enroll as a first-year students in college in the fall of 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Citizenship Eligibility<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0National College Match is open to all U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents <\/span>or<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0students, regardless of citizenship, who are currently in an institution of higher learning in the United States.\u00a0<\/span>International students who live outside of the U.S. are\u00a0<\/span><\/em>not<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0qualified.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Students at a high school located in the U.S. can apply as undocumented or international students. However, they should read their\u00a0<\/span>Extra Citizenship Requirements<\/span><\/a> to determine what Quest Bridge colleges will be evaluating their applicants in Match Scholarships. Academic Achievement for questbridge scholarship<\/span><\/h2>\n

We are looking for students who have shown academic ability that exceeds or meets the admissions requirements of our schools. The following are based on the profiles of previous Finalists and are not considered to be strict cut-offs:<\/span><\/p>\n

Academic Criteria<\/span><\/p>\n

The rigor and grades of the high school course<\/span><\/p>\n

A\u2019s are often in the most difficult courses available (usually comprising Honors, AP, and IB levels of courses).<\/span><\/p>\n

Class rank<\/span><\/p>\n

The top 5-10% of graduates from the class.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scores from tests that have been standardized\u00a0<\/span>(if used)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

A score of SAT >1260<\/span><\/p>\n

ACT composite score >27<\/span><\/p>\n

We ask students to submit scores from any SAT, ACT, AP, IB, TOEFL, or SAT Subject Test scores available.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note that test scores aren\u2019t required for applying first, and approximately 50% of QuestBridge applicants this year didn\u2019t have scores from tests. Applications are evaluated holistically, meaning that students who did not take standard tests could be considered Finalists. However, they must ensure that they can meet the\u00a0<\/span>standard testing requirements<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for the colleges they\u2019re considering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Evidence of writing proficiency as well as intellectual spark and perseverance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Qualifications<\/span><\/h2>\n

The majority of the finalists come from\u00a0<\/span>households that earn less than $65,000 a year for an average household of 4<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and have small assets. There is no strict limit, and we recommend students who believe they\u2019ve experienced financial hardship of a significant magnitude look over these financial requirements carefully to determine whether they are eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n

QuestBridge will carefully review the financial data in every applicant\u2019s application. Students selected as Finalists must submit official documents proving their financial standing directly to the college for which they have applied.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Criteria<\/span><\/p>\n

Income from the household<\/span><\/p>\n

All sources of income for households are considered not just to:<\/span><\/p>\n

Payroll, salaries and tips<\/span>
\nFarm and business income<\/span>
\nRent income<\/span>
\nDividends and interest<\/span>
\nRetirement distributions<\/span>
\nAlimony<\/span>
\nChild support is paid<\/span><\/p>\n

Assets<\/span><\/p>\n

All assets owned by the family are considered, which include:<\/span><\/p>\n

Homeownership<\/span>
\nFarm or business ownership<\/span>
\nSavings and cash<\/span>
\nInvestments<\/span>
\nAdditional properties<\/span><\/p>\n

Income and assets of the parent non-custodial<\/span><\/p>\n

Students who have divorced or separated parents\u00a0<\/span>are required to<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0declare the assets and income of the non-custodial parent since the information is considered in the college partnership in determining the need for financial aid. There is only one exception if the student hasn\u2019t been in contact with the parent who is not the custodial one for a prolonged time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Family life<\/span><\/p>\n

The individual household\u2019s circumstances are considered and include:<\/span><\/p>\n

The number of people who are supported by household income<\/span>
\nThe number of students attending college (undergraduate only)<\/span>
\nChanges in employment or other factors that affect household income<\/span>
\nThe eligibility criteria for free or reduced-price lunches<\/span>
\nBeing in foster care<\/span>
\nOther financial commitments that are not discretionary, like medical bills<\/span><\/p>\n

76 percent of Finalists are the first generation of their families to go to an institution of higher learning that is four years old at a four-year institution in the U.S.<\/span><\/p>\n

The activities include household or family obligations<\/span><\/p>\n

Engagement in activities that are extracurricular social or other types of activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Activities can include family or home-related obligations like part-time work to pay for bills or taking care of siblings when parents are not around or working.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Awards, honors and accomplishments<\/span><\/p>\n

Achievements and leadership roles in extracurricular or other sports.<\/span><\/p>\n

Personal traits Motivation and character strength to be successful.<\/span><\/p>\n
