Our college partners utilize the combination of their own money and federal and state aid to finance the award. We don\u2019t have strict guidelines or cut-offs for GPA, standardized tests, income, or other variables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Make sure you read attentively:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Eligibility | Academic Achievement | Financial Qualifications | Personal Circumstances | FAQs<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Eligibility questbridge scholarship<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong><span>Class Year Eligibility<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>To be eligible for The National College Match in the fall of 2021, the applicants must complete high school before or at the end of the 2022 summer and expect to enroll as a first-year students in college in the fall of 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Citizenship Eligibility<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0National College Match is open to all U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents <\/span><strong><span>or<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0students, regardless of citizenship, who are currently in an institution of higher learning in the United States.\u00a0<\/span><em><span>International students who live outside of the U.S. are\u00a0<\/span><\/em><strong><em><span>not<\/span><\/em><\/strong><em><span>\u00a0qualified.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span>Students at a high school located in the U.S. can apply as undocumented or international students. However, they should read their\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.questbridge.org\/high-school-students\/national-college-match\/additional-citizenship-requirements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>Extra Citizenship Requirements<\/span><\/a><span> to determine what Quest Bridge colleges will be evaluating their applicants in Match Scholarships. Match Scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Academic Achievement for questbridge scholarship<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>We are looking for students who have shown academic ability that exceeds or meets the admissions requirements of our schools. The following are based on the profiles of previous Finalists and are not considered to be strict cut-offs:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Academic Criteria<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The rigor and grades of the high school course<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> A\u2019s are often in the most difficult courses available (usually comprising Honors, AP, and IB levels of courses).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Class rank<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> The top 5-10% of graduates from the class.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Scores from tests that have been standardized\u00a0<\/span><em><span>(if used)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span> A score of SAT &gt;1260<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>ACT composite score &gt;27<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>We ask students to submit scores from any SAT, ACT, AP, IB, TOEFL, or SAT Subject Test scores available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Note that test scores aren\u2019t required for applying first, and approximately 50% of QuestBridge applicants this year didn\u2019t have scores from tests. Applications are evaluated holistically, meaning that students who did not take standard tests could be considered Finalists. However, they must ensure that they can meet the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.questbridge.org\/high-school-students\/national-college-match\/test-requirements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>standard testing requirements<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0for the colleges they\u2019re considering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Additional requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> Evidence of writing proficiency as well as intellectual spark and perseverance.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Financial Qualifications<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>The majority of the finalists come from\u00a0<\/span><strong><span>households that earn less than $65,000 a year for an average household of 4<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0and have small assets. There is no strict limit, and we recommend students who believe they\u2019ve experienced financial hardship of a significant magnitude look over these financial requirements carefully to determine whether they are eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>QuestBridge will carefully review the financial data in every applicant\u2019s application. Students selected as Finalists must submit official documents proving their financial standing directly to the college for which they have applied.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Financial Criteria<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Income from the household<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> All sources of income for households are considered not just to:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Payroll, salaries and tips<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Farm and business income<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Rent income<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Dividends and interest<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Retirement distributions<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Alimony<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Child support is paid<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Assets<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> All assets owned by the family are considered, which include:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Homeownership<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Farm or business ownership<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Savings and cash<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Investments<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Additional properties<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Income and assets of the parent non-custodial<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> Students who have divorced or separated parents\u00a0<\/span><strong><span>are required to<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0declare the assets and income of the non-custodial parent since the information is considered in the college partnership in determining the need for financial aid.
