GSK Scholarships 2023-2024 Eligibility Criteria:<\/span><\/h3>\n

To be considered for these scholarships, candidates must meet the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n

are nationals of, or residents of, countries located in sub-Saharan Africa.<\/span>
\nare planning to travel to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc semester at LSHTM and<\/span>
\naffirm that they wouldn\u2019t normally be in a position to afford the study program they are proposing to pursue by providing an Supplementary Questions Form and<\/span>
\nYou must meet the the LSHTM\u2019s minimal English language requirements to meet LSHTM\u2019s minimum English language requirements<\/span>
\nhave a first or higher degree at the first or upper second class equivalent level or<\/span>
\nhave an admission offer in 2023-24 in one of 19 of London\u2019s intense MSc studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Priority is given to applicants who can demonstrate (in their application paperwork) the potential of making significant contributions to public health or health-related study in Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application Procedure GSK Scholarships 2023-2024\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The application process consists of two steps.<\/span>\u00a0In order to be considered for scholarship, applicants must satisfy the eligibility requirements and complete each step outlined below before the deadline for the scholarship\u00a0timeframe at<\/strong>\u00a023.59 (GMT)<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Wednesday , March 1, 2023.<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

First step: <\/strong>Submit the application form for 2023-24, for an MSc course in London that is a part of the study<\/a> in accordance with the guidelines under the \u2018How To Apply page of the appropriate program of study page.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second Step. <\/strong>Submit your\u00a0online application for scholarships<\/a>\u00a0choosing this choice of a scholarship 2023-24 GSK scholarship to Future Health Leaders\u2019 from the drop-down menu.<\/span>\u00a0The completed\u00a0Supplementary Question form<\/a>\u00a0to be submitted for this scholarship be included in the application.<\/span>\u00a0It will be one of the\u00a0only attachment needed in Step 2. (as applicants must have submitted transcripts, references, CV, etc. in their application for the course of study).<\/span><\/p>\n

Important Notes for application<\/span><\/h3>\n

The applicants are advised to complete Step 1 early to allow time to allow your GBP 50.00 LSHTM admissions fee processing.<\/span>\u00a0Once the payment has been processed, applicants are unable to submit their application to study.<\/span>\u00a0We suggest that those who are eligible to this scholarship complete and submit an application for study at a minimum of 1-2 weeks prior to the scholarship deadline to ensure there aren\u2019t any admissions and payment delays that can affect the deadline for scholarships.<\/span>\u00a0(Where it is possible, we\u2019d advise applicants to submit their complete application as early as they can before the deadline for scholarship applications as they can in order to ensure timely processing.)<\/span>
\nEvery applicant is required to complete\u00a0the\u00a0request to be considered for GSK scholarships to Future Health Leaders for 2023-24.<\/span>\u00a0We therefore recommend applicants to carefully review your online submission and attachment prior to submission, since the first application that is submitted will be the one that is considered and there will not be an chance to submit the Supplementary Questions Formula after submission.<\/span>
\napplicants who have completed a 2023-24 MSc application to London or have received an offer of admission must submit an application for the award using only the application for scholarship (Step 2. above) and submitting the application before the deadline for scholarship submission.<\/span>
\nApplications that are incomplete are not accepted for this funding.<\/span>\u00a0Incomplete applications comprise those incomplete documentation in either or both steps 1 and 2.<\/span>\u00a0Both the application for study and the application for a scholarship must be completed before the deadline for scholarship applications.<\/span>\u00a0The applicants must ensure that all documentation (including the references) are uploaded to the LSHTM\u2019s Admissions Portal by the scholarship deadline.<\/span>
\nThe scholarships are available to students who wish to apply for all 19 distance studying intensive Masters programs provided at LSHTM (including the joint programs: MSc Global Mental Health; MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing; MSc One Health; MSc Veterinary Epidemiology).<\/span>\u00a0Please note that for following courses, you will be referred towards the jointly-provider to submit your application for study, as LSHTM is not able to manage the admissions to these programs: MSc Global Mental Health; MSc One Health: human and animal ecosystems; MSc Veterinary Epidemiology.<\/span>
\nCandidates whose application is accepted will be required to make a payment within 28 days after the announcement of admission being issued.<\/span>\u00a0Scholarship applicants applying to LSHTM must contact LSHTM\u2019s Admissions Team to inform them that they\u2019re waiting on the decision on their scholarship (applicants must supply their Admissions team with their name and the title of the award as well as the date they expect to receive the decision in the email).<\/span>\u00a0This should be repeated for each application to which the applicant submitted an application.<\/span>\u00a0In the Admissions department, they will extend the deposit deadline until they coincide with the deadline for decision of the scholarship fund.<\/span>
\nIf applicants encounter technical issues when filling out the online application for scholarships must, in the first step, try\u00a0clearing their caches in their browsers\u00a0and making sure they\u2019re using the most current version Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari.<\/span>\u00a0If this is not able to resolve the issue, contact the LSHTM\u2019s IT Services team, providing the complete name of the applicant and the scholarship being applied for as well as the issue that was encountered.<\/span>\u00a0Please also attach a screen shot where possible:\u00a0.<\/a><\/span>
