Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced an Express Entry draw for candidates involved in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEC is among the three programs managed under Canada’s Express Entry system.\u00a0The program is designed for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents.

Draw (187) issued 4,147\u00a0invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with a minimum\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)\u00a0score of 401. An increase of 1\u00a0point\u00a0compared to the\u00a0previous CEC draw\u00a0held on April 29th, 2021.

The government is still on track to meet its ambitious target of\u00a0welcoming over 400,000 newcomers throughout the year. Today’s draw brought the total ITAs to 66,475. Coming very close to doubling\u00a0the numbers issued compared to this time last year.\u00a0

IRCC applied its tie-breaking rule with the timestamp of April 29, 2021, at 11:48:14\u00a0UTC. This means that Candidates who had the minimum score of 401\u00a0are only invited if they submitted their\u00a0Express Entry\u00a0profile before the tie-breaking rule.
