Online applications are now accepted for the Korean Scholarship Program (KGSP Scholarships 2023). You are encouraged to apply for the KGSP.<\/span><\/p>\n

The KGSP Scholarships 2023-2024<\/span><\/h2>\n

KGSP stands for Korean Government Scholarship Program. The fully-funded program provides scholarships at the best private and government universities in Korea. The KGSP offers scholarships to students in the following categories: Master\u2019s, Ph.D., and Undergraduate.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Main Objective of KGSP:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

KGSP\u2019s main goal is to foster friendly, international relations between Korea and the rest of the world. The scholarship program will not only promote friendship but also encourage international talent exchange between other countries and Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Global students are also provided with a high-quality education. They are nurtured and supported, and they become leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

KGSP Scholarships Financial Coverage:<\/span><\/h2>\n

You will receive the following benefits if you are awarded the KGSP:<\/span><\/p>\n

All airfare costs will be covered by the KGSP<\/span>
\nAn accommodation allowance of 200,000 KRW will be granted to you<\/span>
\nEvery month, a living allowance of 20,000 RW is paid<\/span>
\nMonthly medical insurance is available for 20,000 to cover medical expenses.<\/span>
\nCoverage for the Korean language course costs 800,000 KRW per quarter<\/span>
\nTuition fees are paid at a maximum of 5,000,000 KRW each semester<\/span>
\nFor outstanding proficiency in the Korean language, a prize is presented<\/span>
\nResearch projects are supported with a semester allowance of 210,000-240,000 KRW<\/span>
\nPrinting costs for a thesis\/dissertation range from 500,000 to 800,000 KRW<\/span>
\nThe student receives a cash prize of 100,000 KRW upon completion of their degree<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility Criteria for KGSP Scholarships 2023-2024<\/span><\/h2>\n

You should ensure you meet all eligibility requirements before applying for the Korean government scholarship program 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Korean nationality students cannot apply<\/span>
\nStudents whose parents or both parents are Korean citizens cannot apply.<\/span>
\nAll applicants must be physically, mentally, and financially able to stay in Korea until their degree is awarded.<\/span>
\nEvery student who applies must have outstanding academic grades from their previous educational institution.<\/span>
\nStudents must have a minimum CGPA of 80% or higher<\/span>
\nStudents who have studied in Korea before cannot apply<\/span>
\nStudents who have been awarded the KGSP scholarship previously can reapply, but only through their university<\/span>
\nCandidates for undergraduate degrees must not be more than twenty-five.<\/span>
\nGraduate students should not be older than forty-five<\/span>
\nCandidates must be graduates of high school and hold a high school diploma.<\/span>
\nCandidates for the graduate program should have completed their bachelor\u2019s degree or master\u2019s degree before they arrive in Korea.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Application Procedure for KGSP Scholarships 2023-2024:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Before applying for the KGSP 2022 scholarship, please read the following details:<\/span><\/p>\n

Students may apply to Korea through their university or embassy.<\/span>
\nCandidates applying for admission must submit documents to either the Korean Embassy in their country of origin or directly to their university.<\/span>
\nTo apply to the university of choice, you will need to follow the guidelines provided by them on their website.<\/span>
\nOnly students who have been selected by the NIIED will be sent these documents by the Korean Embassy or Korean University.<\/span>
\nNIIED will review all documents and notify the Korean Embassy or the Korean University about any potential candidates.<\/span>
\nIf you are selected for the scholarship, you will be notified via the university portal or by the Korean Embassy.<\/span>
\nIf you are selected or rejected by the KGSP scholarship committee, you will not be notified.<\/span>
\nYou can contact the Korean embassy or the Korean university directly if you have questions about the selection.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Documents Requirements For the KGSP-2023-2024:<\/span><\/h2>\n

After you submit all the required documents, your application for the KGSP won\u2019t be accepted. The inability to submit all required documents can cause delays and even cancel your application.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a complete list of documents that are required to submit the KGSP-2023:<\/span><\/p>\n

A scanned copy of the highest degree attained<\/span>
\nCopies of the highest transcripts<\/span>
\nRecommendation letters<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to employees or professors<\/span>
\nPersonal statement<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(required for master\u2019s or Ph. D applicants<\/span>
\nStudy Plan<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(mandatory requirement for master\u2019s candidates)<\/span>
\nResearch proposal<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(only available to Ph.D. applicants)<\/span>
\nMotivation lette<\/span><\/a>r, or an\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Intent lette<\/a>r<\/span> (mandatory to undergraduate program applicants)<\/span><\/p>\n

Notes:<\/span><\/p>\n

The application form should be filled in English or Korean only.<\/span>
\nAll documents must be in their original format.<\/span>
\nPhotographic copies must be certified<\/span>
\nStudents will not receive documents that they have submitted to the NIIED.<\/span>
\nOnly photocopies of certificates and awards are accepted.<\/span>
\nTwo different recommenders must write the recommendation letter<\/span>
\nEach candidate must submit three sets of photocopied original documents as well as one set of application documents to the Korean Embassy. Only applicants applying through the Korean Embassy are eligible for this requirement.<\/span>
\nIf the student is applying directly for their university, they will need to submit only one set of original documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application Deadline for KGSP 2023-2024:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Only one Korean government scholarship program is offered each year. There is no set deadline or opening date. You must adhere to all deadlines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each university has its deadline. Each degree program also has its deadline. It is best to get in touch with the university directly to find out about the deadline and opening date.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you apply directly through the Korean Embassy in your country, you can visit the embassy to request the deadline.<\/span><\/p>\n
