questbridge scholarship recipients are given acceptance to Quest Bridge’s university partners and are awarded the possibility of a full four-year scholarship valued at more than $200,000 per. Our college partners utilize the combination of their own money and federal and state aid to finance the award. This scholarship is part of the generous financial aid package offered through Quest Bridge, the Quest Bridge college partner, which includes the cost of attendance and includes:
Fees and tuition
Room and board
Materials and books
Travel costs

We’re looking for students in high schools who have demonstrated remarkable academic abilities despite financial hardships. We take a comprehensive approach to evaluating applications. We don’t have strict guidelines or cut-offs for GPA, standardized tests, income, or other variables.

Eligibility questbridge scholarship
Class Year Eligibility
To be eligible for The National College Match in the fall of 2021, the applicants must complete high school before or at the end of the 2022 summer and expect to enroll as a first-year students in college in the fall of 2022.
Citizenship Eligibility
National College Match is open to all U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents or students, regardless of citizenship, who are currently in an institution of higher learning in the United States. International students who live outside of the U.S. are not qualified.
Students at a high school located in the U.S. can apply as undocumented or international students. However, they should read their Extra Citizenship Requirements to determine what Quest Bridge colleges will be evaluating their applicants in Match Scholarships. Match Scholarship.
Academic Achievement for questbridge scholarship
We are looking for students who have shown academic ability that exceeds or meets the admissions requirements of our schools. The following are based on the profiles of previous Finalists and are not considered to be strict cut-offs:
Academic Criteria
The rigor and grades of the high school course
A’s are often in the most difficult courses available (usually comprising Honors, AP, and IB levels of courses).
Class rank
The top 5-10% of graduates from the class.
Scores from tests that have been standardized (if used)
A score of SAT >1260
ACT composite score >27
We ask students to submit scores from any SAT, ACT, AP, IB, TOEFL, or SAT Subject Test scores available.
Note that test scores aren’t required for applying first, and approximately 50% of QuestBridge applicants this year didn’t have scores from tests. Applications are evaluated holistically, meaning that students who did not take standard tests could be considered Finalists. However, they must ensure that they can meet the standard testing requirements for the colleges they’re considering.
Additional requirements
Evidence of writing proficiency as well as intellectual spark and perseverance.
Financial Qualifications
The majority of the finalists come from households that earn less than $65,000 a year for an average household of 4 and have small assets. There is no strict limit, and we recommend students who believe they’ve experienced financial hardship of a significant magnitude look over these financial requirements carefully to determine whether they are eligible.
QuestBridge will carefully review the financial data in every applicant’s application. Students selected as Finalists must submit official documents proving their financial standing directly to the college for which they have applied.
Financial Criteria
Income from the household
All sources of income for households are considered not just to:
Payroll, salaries and tips
Farm and business income
Rent income
Dividends and interest
Retirement distributions
Alimony
Child support is paid
Assets
All assets owned by the family are considered, which include:
Homeownership
Farm or business ownership
Savings and cash
Investments
Additional properties
Income and assets of the parent non-custodial
Students who have divorced or separated parents are required to declare the assets and income of the non-custodial parent since the information is considered in the college partnership in determining the need for financial aid. There is only one exception if the student hasn’t been in contact with the parent who is not the custodial one for a prolonged time.

The number of students attending college (undergraduate only)
Changes in employment or other factors that affect household income
The eligibility criteria for free or reduced-price lunches
Being in foster care
Other financial commitments that are not discretionary, like medical bills

Personal Circumstances
The level of education that parents receive
76 percent of Finalists are the first generation of their families to go to an institution of higher learning that is four years old at a four-year institution in the U.S.
The activities include household or family obligations
Engagement in activities that are extracurricular social or other types of activities.
Activities can include family or home-related obligations like part-time work to pay for bills or taking care of siblings when parents are not around or working.
Awards, honors and accomplishments
Achievements and leadership roles in extracurricular or other sports.
Personal traits Motivation and character strength to be successful.
