UAB International Scholarship for First Year Freshmen Only (Only Freshmen Students are Eligible).

Candidate Award eligibility by 1 March, if selected as such candidates initially they’ll receive $1K per year; should their IB scores go through successfully they may also become eligible for IB Diploma Holder Scholarship ($2,500 annually).
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant provides funding for both undergraduate and postgraduate students who major in fields with high demands in terms of teacher shortage such as sciences, math or world languages – this also serves to equip future educators. Furthermore, special training classes help equip participants to become skilled educators themselves.
Students eligible to attend must fulfill these criteria:
Be enrolled in UAB’s free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA), and qualify for federal student aid grants.

UAB received the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) grant from the U.S. Department of Education to assist low-income undergraduate students who require child care assistance while staying on track toward completion of their degrees. Applications will be selected based on need and funding availability – however, it’s possible not everyone who applies will be accepted due to limited funds.
Pell Grants are made available to undergraduate students without an undergraduate baccalaureate degree.
Effective July 1st 2012, students enrolled full-time will only have six years to access Pell Grant eligibility through full-time enrollment. Eligibility calculation takes into account each year a student participates in Pell grants; remaining eligibility can be found via National Student Loan Data System.

UAB Scholarships to international students require applicants to meet certain eligibility requirements to be considered; see the list below.
Applications should come from foreign students accepted to undergraduate degree programs at universities abroad. Applications will be judged based on academic merit.
Honors students enrolled full-time during the period in which a scholarship will be available will qualify.
Candidates for admission should possess either a high school diploma or the equivalent and exhibit strong commitment, responsibility, and organizational abilities in addition to having excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
An offer to study full-time at Birmingham University must exist before application for funding from USA Study Abroad Scholarship.
Selection criteria are determined on merit and evidence of leadership ability, along with English Language Prerequisite. Each applicant must present proof that they meet UAB’s minimal English requirement in terms of language proficiency.

Apply Online: There are two methods you can apply online via UAB; (1) via the institution-specific or (2) the common applications. To be considered for UAB consideration: Whilst an incomplete application will not be considered;
Fee exemption may also be available; an application fee of $40 must be paid either via credit/debit card payment, or fee exemption will apply.
Official transcripts from high school; Your authentic ACT or SAT test scores: test scores submitted directly to either ACT or College Board are considered official for admission purposes and must appear either within an official high school transcript, directly via their websites, or both.
