EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW 179 – 449 CRS POINTS – Canadian Experience Class (CEC) only

Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced an Express Entry draw for candidates involved in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

The CEC is among the three programs managed under Canada’s Express Entry system. The program is designed for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents.

Today’s draw (179) issued 5,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 449. This is the first CEC only draw since the historic CEC draw (176) which broke many Express Entry records.

The government of Canada has set the ambitious target of welcoming over 400,000 newcomers throughout the year. So far in 2021, IRCC has issued 43,840 ITAs. The bulk of these new ITAs stem from the aforementioned Canadian Experience Class draw (176) which took place on February 13th, 2021.

IRCC applied its tie-breaking rule with the timestamp of February 19, 2021, at 15:59:57 UTC. This means that if more than one eligible candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.
