Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced an Express Entry draw for candidates involved in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
Today’s draw (145) was held at 11:17:20 UTC and is currently the lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement for a PNP specific draw in 2020. 589 candidates received an invitation to apply (ITA) that had a minimum CRS score of 692.
Please note that candidates with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 CRS points to their application.
Today’s draw brings the total number of ITAs issued in 2020 to 30,989. This signifies that despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada is committed to reaching its immigration targets for 2020.
IRCC applied its tie-breaking rule with the timestamp of March 11, 2020, at 13:46:21 UTC. This simply means that all candidates with a CRS score of 692 or above, and previous candidates with a score of 692 or above who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before the selected tie-breaking date and time will receive an invitation in this round.
